Donore Community Drug & Alcohol Team (DCDAT) is a low threshold
drop-in service supporting individuals and families in the general
area of Donore Avenue, Dublin 8.

We are engaged in health promotion and harm reduction for those
affected by drugs and alcohol.

We are looking to recruit a person to facilitate our Pilot crack
cocaine programme for women users in the Donore Avenue & surrounding
areas of Dublin’s South Inner City.

Successful candidate will work a *-month part
time contract consisting of * hrs a week. They
will report to and be supervised by the DCDAT manager and will work as
part of their wider team.

THE PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED FOR THIS
POSITION ARE:

* A professional qualification in Addiction Studies, or Social Care
to a minimal of diploma level on the National Framework of
Qualification for Ireland
* A minimal of two years’ experience working in a community-based
service/organisation setting within the field of problem drug &
alcohol use
* Experience in working from a harm-reduction perspective & with
people who live chaotic lifestyles
* Knowledge and experience of interagency referral pathways for
service users.
* Experience supporting problematic crack cocaine users.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* The successful candidate will commit to supporting, devising, and
participating in the development of the Crack Cocaine specific
programme & initiatives.
* The person will represent DCDAT supporting female problematic
crack cocaine users in a professional manner and respect the values
and ethos of the organisation.
* The person will work in collaboration with other statutory
voluntary and community agencies.
* Facilitation of group work, one to one Keyworking and delivery of
an outreach service including some street work.
* To work with clients in developing an individual care plan and be
able to participate in a case management system
* To demonstrate competence and professionalism in carrying out any
or all duties and responsibilities
* To work within best practice and professional boundaries ensuring
the clients are consulted and their participation maximised throughout
the programme
* knowledge of Salesforce/ NDTRS Link data system, along with good
awareness of GDPR regarding all case notes is welcome
